Justin and his wife, Emily

Life is chaotic. Most of the time, the chaos seems unavoidable. It is often overwhelming. Sometimes it blinds us to the significant aspects of life, but they are still there. It is my belief that in the midst of the chaos, meaning and truth can be found. They are literally everywhere.

For example, in my favorite movie, Gladiator, Maximus says, “What we do in life, echoes in eternity!” Not many Christian websites get started with a quote from an R-rated movie (that isn’t about Jesus!), but the truth in that statement is powerful. See what I’m saying? Meaning and truth are literally everywhere.

One of my favorite authors, Tim Keller, explains why we are confident that meaning and truth can be found, “Christians agree that history is not random and the world is not meaningless, that there is a logos, a purpose and order behind it all … it is not something you can find through philosophical reasoning, because it is not an “it” at all; it is a him. Jesus Christ is the creator God, come in the flesh. Finally, yes – ultimate meaning in life is possible.”

My goal is to find the meaning and truth that permeates life, and help others to find it as well. It’s a journey through conversation – please join in by commenting early and often!

About Me

I am married to a compassionate, talented, and beautiful woman – Emily. We have 3 girls and I love spending time with them. I didn’t really expect to spend weeknights in my 30s playing tea party, but here I am. And to be honest, it’s a blast.

My undergraduate work was in Theology and Education, my first Master’s degree was in Apologetics (how we know if Christianity is true), and now I’m midway through a Master’s of Divinity from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. I spent 6 years teaching high school Bible before stepping into a pastoral role at Parkside Bible Church. I’m privileged to work with a remarkable team who is excited to make much of Jesus. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching sports, spending time with my family, and golfing.
